Our members are talking!

My husband and I married in a Catholic Church where we sporadically spent the first half of our church life, although he missed his Lutheran Church and we would occasionally visit one.  After frustrations with the Catholic Church, I told my husband that it was his turn to choose any church he liked and I would attend with him.   He visited many churches, but none were as welcoming and friendly as Incarnation.  And I LOVE how it is ELCA Lutheran where a woman can be a pastor and all are welcome at the table to receive communion.  My thoughts after the first several months?  ‘What took me so long?’

Why I like Incarnation Lutheran Church

When I think of Incarnation, I am reminded of the statement that ‘Less is more’.   We exemplify the little church with a big heart.  I’ve always belonged to larger churches, but I have never gotten to know as many people.  Through our interactive Adult Education after services, our working together, and our fun YAH (Young At Heart) activities and field trips, we are truly able to feel like family, brothers and sisters in Christ.

Why I became a member of Incarnation Lutheran Church

I come from a very small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I was active in Bethany Lutheran Church.  It was a small-town church.

When I moved to Green Bay, our land-lady introduced me to a large Lutheran congregation, where she and her husband were members.  It was not what I was accustomed to.

So I decided to pay a visit to the Pastor at Incarnation, Rev. Carl Lund, who was very helpful.  I immediately started attending church there.  I then joined the choir and helped when they needed an organist.  I met many friendly people. This is my kind of church, I thought then, and still do now.  I have been a member through Pastor Carl, Pastor Keith (35 years), Pastor Scott, and now Pastor Mike, as well as many substitutes.  It has been almost 40 years; happy, satisfying years with my Incarnation Family.
